SCHOOL/GROUP VISITS

VISIT OXFORDSHIRE’S LARGEST BIRD OF PREY CENTRE FOR A FUN AND EDUCATIONAL DAY!

We receive many school (and Guides, Scouts, Brownie & Cubs etc.)  visits each year and always do our best to make sure that not only do you have a fun time but learn lots too.

Millets Falconry Centre is home to over 100 Birds of Prey + Meerkats, Raccoons, Skunks and Reptiles. A visit to us is an engaging and entertaining way to raise awareness of certain species and educate the future generation.

Included in your visit is an introductory talk, guided tour and of course the daily flying demonstrations.  We also offer handling sessions where your pupils have the opportunity to hold a bird of prey.

We are happy to tailor talks to any topics you may be working on including Owls, Flight, Predators, Prey, British Species, Conservation and Medieval Times.

Many areas of the National Curriculum can be covered too, for example: Migration (Geography) and Falconry (History). Art is also covered; some schools visit simply for students to study and draw/sketch the birds.

If you would prefer a Mammal talk we can introduce you to our Meerkats, Raccoons and Skunks.

Prices for groups visiting us start at £4 per child. (£6pp if you would like a hands on session) and £7 per adult, we offer one free adult per 10 children. We also offer a free visit for one Teacher in advance for a Risk assessment. (appointment must be made)

If a visit to us isn’t possible we can visit you, prices available on request.

If you have any questions or would like us to send you our Teachers Pack please get in touch.
