Last year we gave displays to over 40 different care homes and we were met with fantastic feedback (references available on request). Typically our displays take place out side in the grounds where large enough, but thanks to a rather wet summer we ended up conducting a large number of displays indoors, as crazy as it sounds it really worked well, it allowed the residents to stay in their comfy chairs and not be ferried around and gives them opportunity to get much closer to the birds and allowed me communicate easier and more directly. And surprisingly the birds that we fly are just as capable of impressing inside as they are outside from a small conservatory to high ceilinged dining room they seem to make the best of the space provided. .
I have an understanding of residential homes, I trained as a chef and spent five years working in several homes such as Oakenholt where I trained, and then later St.Lukes hospital and finally Southmoor House before my falconry obsession took over,
so I believe this has given me a great deal of experience and understanding when it comes to talking to the elderly and especially with people who suffer from dementia.
Visits last approximately one hour and would normally be charged at £225.00 but as we have been received with such welcome and praise we would like to offer a discount to care homes, so all displays booked
will be charged at £175.00
(Oxfordshire only, small charge added for travilling further)
